Holier Than Thou
2020-2023 This punny donut was one of my first pieces. The original is acrylic on canvas. It resides in storage. Though we sold a few pillows, mugs, totes and aprons over the years, it never really took off. So we surrender it to the holiest of places, The Pun Cemetery. Fly high sweet, silly donut!
Yo Momma
2020-2023 Like Holier Than Thou Yo Momma is one of my original puns. She's supposed to be fro yo with her fro yo babies. People kept thinking she was a cupcake which killed the joke. A few people loved her and we love them, but it was time to lay her to rest
Fusilly
2020-2021 Fusilly was also a very early piece painted on canvas. I thought fusilli sounded like funny pasta. I surmised I could clearly convey that message by painting clown pasta, but alas no one picked up what I was lying down. What a bunch of wet noodles. RIP Fusilly.
Culture Wars
2020-2024 Another early pun painted on canvas. This was one of my cousins' ideas. I thought it was pretty funny. Apparently, that makes me and the three people who have purchased the T-Shirt over the years. Talk about spoiled dairy.
Wise Old Sage
2020-2024 This is another early acrylic on canvas. A play on the Wise Old Sage archetype. Despite his words of wisdom "Get off my lawn." He landed like a fart in church. So out of the sage assisted living facility and into The Pun Cemetery he goes.
Whisky Business
2020-2024 There I was making pancakes for dinner. I pulled out the whisk and said "Time for some Whisky Business." Then I painted this whisk. People kept asking me to redraw it as Whiskey Business because they saw it with a picture of whiskey and liked it better. Blah blah. NO. I'd rather send it to it's death. So long Tom Cruise before he became completely unhinged whisk.
Snacks-A-Peel
2022-2023 There I was falling asleep when this play on the phrase sex appeal popped into my head. I thought it was funny, but I guess it was just me. Too bad I can't use it for banana bread. It's so bad it's going out with the trash. Farewell sexy banana!
